It's the year Two-Thousand and Eight. Seriously? Where does the time go? Every time we turn around, it seems like even more time has passed. If this seems like a recurring theme with us, that's because it is.
You see, life has this pesky habit of hauling along merrily, wether you are participating or not. A lot of people like to glom on to the one thing that they are good at, and then sit tight while the wheels spin. Unfortunately, that's a great way to stay in one place, but when it comes to moving forward, it's not really ideal.
RetroKitten isn't the kind of place where you need to sit tight and hope that good things happen. You need to take charge. Upload samples of your work. Post your experience. Let people know who you are and what you do. Most of all, get active. Find people in your area to collaborate with. Add friends, leave guest book comments. You have a voice, use it.
This month's cover girl is the truly stunning Frankii Wilde. The day she created her profile, the staff gathered around a computer and oohed and ahed. Frankii is the kind of beauty that got most of us into this industry in the first place. A statuesque beauty, long slender legs, and a "come hither" stare that melts the belt buckles of lesser men (and a couple of our interns).
